Submissions

Turning Point sponsors two submission periods annually that focus on narrative poetry. No reading fee required. They are:

• The Tales Poetry Series for a full-length book. The reading period is open to any poet writing in English, whether they have published a full-length book or not. All published poets receive five copies of their published book and a royalty contract. Deadline: April 15, 2004. Manuscript length: Minimum of 48 pages.
• The Turning Point Series for a full-length book. The reading period is open to any poet writing in English, whether they have published a full-length book or not. All published poets receive receive five copies of their published book and a royalty contract. Deadline: October 15. Manuscript length: Minimum of 48 pages.

Please follow the guidelines below. Manuscripts not containing all necessary information will not be considered.

• Send all correspondence to P.O. Box 541106, Cincinnati, OH, 45254-1106.
• Manuscript should include a cover sheet with author's name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. A separate cover sheet is not required.
• Manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter that contains a brief author biography, list of signficant book/journal publication credits and reading venues, awards won, finalist status elsewhere, and similar relevant information.
• Please include a separate acknowledgments page that lists all manuscript poems that were previously published in journals, anthologies, chapbooks, or elsewhere.
• Do not include an SASE. Please register at the link below to receive e-mail notification of reading period results. We will not enter your e-mail address for you.
• Manuscripts will not be returned.
• Simultaneous submissions acceptable, but please notify immediately if you sign a publication contract elsewhere.
